Before registering your clients to use the onTAP web service please read the conditions of use below:

• Berkeley Lab is a national research laboratory, not a commercial software vendor. Because we are not a software vendor, Berkeley Lab neither charges for nor offers formal technical support. Furthermore, Berkeley Lab will not legally commit to providing bug-fixes, updates, maintenance or support for the software.
• Even though we are not legally required to do so, we may, however, choose to provide technical support in response to questions or requests for assistance at our sole discretion; also, we may choose to provide bug-fixes or updates at no additional charge if we deem this appropriate.
• Berkeley Lab has the right to remove this website from the internet at any time without prior notice.
• Berkeley Lab reserves the right to ban users for perceived or actual abuse of the interface without prior warning.
• Client IP addresses must be registered to use the onTAP web service. As the TAP project's bandwidth and CPU resources are constrained, please ensure that requests are at least 10 seconds apart per registered IP address. IP addresses that do not follow this guideline without written permission will be deemed abusive and banned without any prior notice.

If you require greater access to the onTAP web service please send a brief description of your project and its project needs to tariffs@eapx02.lbl.gov. Access may be increased at the discretion of Berkeley Lab. Requests for technical support will not be answered.
